When Julius Caesar collective rebranded in 2014, one of the changes we wanted to make was a commitment to love. Love for the artists we work with, love for our community, and a commitment to supporting them both through the exchange of being seen.
While Julius Caesar has been without an exhibition space since February of 2022, we are delighted to announce a pop-up exhibition at Color Club this September.
An exhibition inspired by the wedding of our co-director Kate Sierzputowski to her partner Sam Clapp, "Loving Forms" is a group show looking at the range of forms that love can take. From the fierce love of a mother-to-be, to the love expressed through mourning, to the love shared between a person and animal, or even the love a fan has for a celebrity, "Loving Forms" looks to explore the breadth of our most powerful emotion. The group exhibition will feature a number of artists we have been proud to present in the past, as well as new faces to share their vision on a love they bring to form.
