SULK CHICAGO presents a two person exhibition of sculptural work by Rachael Bos and paintings by Keeton Foreman. Rachael responds to her upbringing on the Great Salt Lake, near Smithson’s Spiral Jetty, looking at the conditions of possibility for the ecosystem’s life and death. Similarly, Keeton investigates the lifecycle and survival patterns of the Wolf Spider, native to his hometown, San Antonio. (The spider, unlike the salt, does not spin crystalline webs but hunts and kills her prey to feeds others with it.) Together, the work meditates on land, nature, beauty, and all other big ideas connecting us all.
Opening September 1, closing October 6.
Friday & Saturday: 1-4
